Presenter

Michael Kosmala, ETS Associate at the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, Strategy & Organization Effectiveness Consultant, Twin Goats, LLC

While strategic planning continues to be the primary organizational change process that nonprofit’s know about, many people have started to question its relevance and value. Some have gone so far as to declare that strategic planning constrains flexibility & innovation.
Join Michael Kosmala to explore alternative planning tools and strategies that can be implemented in a short time frame without a costly process or consultant. We’ll explore various strategies and processes to help you address your critical challenges head-on and emphasize broad community engagement – internally and externally – throughout the process. We’ll explore:

  • How being clear on the “why” behind planning will dictate which model or framework is right for you
  • Planning as a critical organizational capacity and not just an event or activity
  • Creating conditions for success that connect planning with implementation
