About this event

This event is provided by World Salmon Council

The World Salmon Council is hosting a training session on Saturday, August 15th for new Salmon Watch Volunteer Educators! Our Volunteer Educators accompany local middle and high school classes on their Salmon Watch field trip to one of our beautiful salmon spawning sites in the Mt Hood National Forest, Columbia River Gorge, or mid coast range. Volunteers facilitate short rotating stations on the field trip, choosing one of four study areas: salmon biology, macroinvertebrate sampling, water quality testing or riparian zone observation.

No previous knowledge or experience related to salmon conservation is needed
to participate!

For more information on our Salmon Watch educational program and to apply for
this opportunity, please follow the link above! We will additionally be hosting a training session on Saturday, September 12th.
