Child abuse happens in secrecy across all races and ethnic and cultural
backgrounds regardless of education and social economic status. 90% of child sexual abuse victims know their perpetrator – he/she may be a mom, dad, but also a sibling or even one of your child’s friends. Children face terrible violence, neglect and abuse every day – even in Central Oregon. To prevent it, stop it and give children the chance to heal from it, the entire community needs to know the facts and be willing to talk about it.
There is no charge for the lunch; however, this is KIDS Center’s annual
fundraising event and guests will be asked to join us in the prevention, education and treatment of child abuse by making a donation in any amount that is meaningful to them.
