Identifying and understanding risks in today’s changing economic climate are critical. The potential reputation, legal, financial, and mission-related risks we now face have increased beyond historical experience. How do you manage converging risks with shrinking resources and ever increasing demands for ethical stewardship? This session will discuss the risks on the horizon and provide potential mitigating solutions.

About the Presenter

As VP of Audit & Risk Management Services for World Vision US, Carol Morgan is responsible for the planning and completion of operational, compliance, and financial audits conducted at all World Vision US sites. In addition, her group is responsible for oversight of the compliance framework, business continuity planning, insurance coverage, and enterprise risk management.

Carol began her auditing career with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) in the Washington, DC area. A move to Seattle, Washington helped her to develop her internal auditing skills while working for SAFECO Insurance. Returning to government auditing as Manager of Internal Audit for Todd Pacific Shipyards, she reestablished the internal audit function and was responsible for operational and government contract compliance audits. Prior to joining World Vision, Carol gained external auditing experience as a manager with the public accounting firm McGladrey and Pullen, LLP, where she performed financial statement audits of credit unions.
