Crowdfunding in Oregon now includes real investing – with financial returns – allowing ordinary Oregonians to invest in Oregon companies, including nonprofits! We’ll discuss how this works for all of Oregon, and then focus in on how nonprofits can take advantage of this new law to building strategies for increasing impact and financial sustainability.
We’ll also discuss hybrid non-profit/for-profit structures, the legal and tax rules applicable to for-profit activities by non-profit organizations, and how properly combining non-profit and for-profit activities can help non-profits build financial capacity.
