About this event
: Michelle Cordova is on the Latino community Association (LCA) Board of Directors and works in Eligibility for the Oregon Department of Human Services. She has worked for the US Forest Service and will share her experiences about living in rural communities such as John Day and Prineville and the challenges that presented themselves. The mission of the Latino Community Association is to empower Latino families to thrive at home and in
our communities, create opportunities for advancement, and build bridges that unite and strengthen us all. HAPA`EA is the local chapter of the Asian Pacific Islander Employee Association (APAEA) on the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District which sponsors the 2015 HAPA`EA Cross Cultural Awareness Storyteller Series. Its goal is to provide an open and interactive forum that supports learning about the many cultures in our community and other places. In Hawai`i, HAPA means crossing cultures.
