About this event

Ride your bike or stroll down the Salmon Creek Greenway to enjoy free children’s activities, wildlife shows, salmon tours and more! Clark Public Utilities’ StreamTeam is hosting its 16th Annual Earth Day Celebration in partnership with Clark County Environmental Services. Volunteers are invited to join the effort and help plant native trees or pull invasive garlic mustard plants along Salmon Creek. Training and equipment
will be provided. The planting begins at 8:30 a.m. and wraps up at 12:30 p.m. Children over the age of 3 can be dropped off for supervised environmental education activities with Vancouver Montessori at any point during the event. This is a great opportunity for kids that need a break, but whose parents want to keep planting. Volunteers who participate in the four hour planting or pulling effort will receive a t-shirt and are invited to join StreamTeam for a free lunch generously provided by Tommy O’s. All are invited to the afternoon Eco-Fair following the restoration activities. Free fun and games for the whole family along with interactive nature demonstrations and entertainment will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. near Klineline Pond. Please encourage friends, family and neighbors to come! ** Planting and weed pulling volunteers must pre-register** Space is limited! 8:30am– Volunteer Sign-in 9:00am– Tree Planting and Garlic Mustard Pull 10:00am– EcoFair Begins 12:30pm– FREE Tommy O’s lunch for volunteers 2:00pm– Event conclusion For more information, visit the StreamTeam’s webpage at www.StreamTeam.net
