About this event
Rose Haven is a day shelter helping women overcome the effects of abuse and
homelessness. Celebrate Mother’s Day by volunteering to help homeless women
and children. Rose Haven will host their second annual Reigning Roses Walk, a
5k through Northwest Portland. A four hour investment of your time will help
countless women for the next year.
Volunteer in one of three ways:
– Team Registration and Check-in
– Food prep and clean-up
-Route cheerleaders to encourage and direct walkers
Date: Sunday, May 10
Time: 9:15 am – 1 pm
Volunteers will receive a rose red t-shirt to wear during the event and a meal will be provided.
About Rose Haven:
Rose Haven promotes self-sufficiency by providing on-site advocacy, informal
counseling and referral services that assist women in obtaining housing, medical, and legal services. In addition to providing access to social services and education, Rose Haven offers guests a safe haven from the street, a sense of community, and a place to build relationships.
