Begin the new fundraising season with some words of inspiration, a review of your basic tools, and a plan for success. Utilizing group discussion and a take-home toolkit, this network session will leave you refreshed and ready to raise the funds your organization needs to fulfill its mission.

Explore:

  • What is a development plan, and why should you bother?
  • Who can/should/will/might help develop and implement a workable plan?
  • How will you measure your progress?

    • Bring a copy of your organization’s budget and/or fundraising goals.

    About the Presenter

    Sharon Bosserman-Benson is a member of the fundraising team at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. During her ten years on staff, she has directed the institution’s annual fund, alumni program, alumni capital campaign, and now its planned giving effort. Her work with donors contributes to the $8 million annually raised by the College.

    As a fundraising trainer and coach, Sharon has worked with more than 100 nonprofits, primarily in Oregon. She models mission-driven fund development that connects people who need help with people who want to help. For four years, Sharon was the lead trainer for Portland area nonprofits who competed to participate in a 10-month fundraising training series co-sponsored by the United Way and the Nonprofit Association of Oregon.
