Self care is a real buzzword these days. But many people continue to find self care inaccessible, confusing and even oppressive as a concept. This
workshop aims to redefine self care so that it works for the needs and
liberation of everyone. We will explore self care conceptually and offer
practical tools for applying it to ourselves and our communities.
objectives:
Identify signs of burnout.
Discuss why self care is important for us in the work that we do.
Identify ways that we can strengthen our self and community care practice.
Identify ways that our agencies can support our collective sustainability.
