Fundraising Ethics: Choosing Between Right and Wrong plus AFP Annual Meeting

The Association of Fundraising Professionals – Oregon & Southwest Washington Chapter (AFP) will hold its Annual Chapter Meeting and Luncheon on Friday, December 5 at the Multnomah Athletic Club, 1849 SW Salmon Street, Portland. Registration opens at 11 a.m. Lunch, the annual meeting and the program begin at 11:30 a.m. The 2014 AFP Chapter board of directors will be elected. Nonmembers and guests are invited to attend. Keynote speaker Paul Mortimer will present “Fundraising Ethics: Choosing Between Right…and Right.” Mortimer is Vice President for Advancement for “I Have a Dream” Oregon, which empowers students from low-income communities to thrive in school, college, and career. Paul has more than 20 years’ experience fundraising throughout the Pacific Northwest, including as an Assistant Dean at Portland State University and as a consultant to more than 100 nonprofits and 25 capital campaigns. A frequent volunteer for the Oregon Arts Commission and Oregon Cultural Trust, Paul was a founding board member of the Nonprofit Association of Oregon. He is the most recent recipient of WVDO’s Barbara Stallcup Miller Professional Achievement Award. Cost of the meeting, which includes lunch, is $35/AFP members and $50/Non-members and guests.
